Hi.
My name is Mabel Reed.

Below, you'll find an approximate timeline of many of the projects that I've worked on.
SKIP TO TIMELINE:
If you haven't skipped to the timeline, I assume that means you want to learn more about me.

I don't know what the future holds for me, but my goal since high school has been to become a programmer for games. The best way I've reached for that goal is by going through an apprenticeship program called Warren Tech, where I created 8 different games, both as game jams and long term projects. One such example is a game that was published to Steam: Protocol Xeno, a twin-stick shooter made in Unreal Engine. Since then, I've been building my skills in a variety of ways:
Education
Colorado School of Mines
2022-2026
M.S. in Computer Science (May 2026)
B.S. in Computer Science
Minor in Physics
Experience
M3Robotics Lab
C++, Linux, DevOps
Steadiplay
Dart, Flutter, GitLab
Goalkeeper
Python, LiDAR, Open3D
Projects
Cardificer
Unity, C#, GitHub
Parking Inspector
Python, GitHub
Graphics Project
OpenGL, C++
I love creating games because every one I've made has presented different challenges, and I get to work alongside people of many different disciplines. It's rewarding to expand my abilities and create awesome experiences that I can share with other people. That said, I have also developed a passion for robotics after working in a robotics lab, as there is truly something incredible about working on mechanical objects that can interact with the physical world. Because of this, I am confident that wherever I end up, I will enjoy what I do.

Going forward, I want to continue to try new things, and I'm hoping to be able to try my hand at graphics, physics, and engine programming, whether as personal projects or professionally. I'm also interested in continuing to improve my skills at creating systems that are easy for other industry professionals to work with, regardless of how much experience they have with programming. No matter what, I'm excited to see where my path leads me.

Outside all of this programming nonsense, I love to create piano arrangements of video game soundtracks, compose my own music, learn about physics, and play games with my friends.
